We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Game LQA Tester to join our team, specializing in English to Malay localization testing for our gaming projects. This role offers the flexibility of remote work from your location in Subang Jaya, Selangor, allowing you to contribute to high-quality game releases while maintaining your preferred work-life balance.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and cultural appropriateness of English to Malay translations within video games. This involves meticulously testing localized game content, identifying and reporting any linguistic errors, inconsistencies, or technical issues that could impact the player experience in the Malay language version. Your work will directly contribute to delivering polished, professional, and engaging games to our Malay-speaking audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive LQA testing on English to Malay localized game content, including text, dialogue, subtitles, UI elements, and documentation.
• Systematically identify and document linguistic errors, mistranslations, grammatical inaccuracies, cultural inappropriateness, and technical glitches within the localized content.
li>Collaborate effectively with game developers, translators, and localization teams to communicate findings clearly and propose solutions.
• Follow established testing methodologies and quality assurance processes to ensure thorough coverage of all localized assets.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of identified issues, including reproduction steps and severity assessments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our localization quality standards and processes.

Requirements

• Native proficiency in Malay (Bahasa Melayu) and fluency in English.
• Proven experience in LQA (Localization Quality Assurance) or game testing, specifically focused on English to Malay localization.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills to identify subtle linguistic and technical issues.
• Familiarity with game testing tools and processes, including bug tracking systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote freelance capacity.
• Understanding of game localization principles and the importance of cultural adaptation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate findings clearly.
