This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead complex tax advisory and compliance initiatives for clients navigating the intricacies of US tax regulations. Based in Singapore, the successful candidate will play a central role in delivering strategic tax solutions and ensuring regulatory adherence for our diverse client base.

About the Role

The US Tax Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client engagements, providing expert guidance on US federal, state, and local tax matters. This position involves developing and implementing tax strategies, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and delivering high-quality, timely tax services. The role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively to clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of complex US tax returns and filings for multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Provide comprehensive tax advisory services, including tax planning, structuring, and optimization strategies.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable US tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for tax matters.
  • Supervise and mentor junior tax professionals within the team.
  • Stay abreast of changes in US tax legislation and their implications for clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other departments (e.g., accounting, audit) to ensure cohesive service delivery.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in US tax advisory and compliance.
  • Extensive experience managing US tax compliance and advisory engagements for multinational corporations.
  • Proven expertise in US federal income tax, including corporate taxation, international tax, and state/local tax matters.
  • Strong understanding of transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to build strong client relationships.
