Description

You will be partof the Sustainability Skills for Mitigation, Adaptation, and Resilience Transformation (SSMART) Office, which functions as a planner, driver and coordinator for sustainability training across Whole-Of-Government (WOG) agencies. This role is pivotal in shaping the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment's (MSE) approach to building capacity and expertise within the public sector to address critical sustainability challenges. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing Singapore's resilience and advancing national sustainability goals by ensuring government agencies possess the necessary skills and knowledge. **About the Role** The SSMART Office is a dedicated unit within the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead initiatives that translate sustainability strategies into actionable training programs. You will operate at a senior level, influencing policy implementation and fostering collaboration across diverse government departments. The focus is on developing and delivering training that equips public sector professionals with the competencies needed for effective sustainability planning, adaptation, and resilience building. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop comprehensive training strategies and curricula aligned with national sustainability priorities and WOG agency needs. * Drive the planning, design, and execution of sustainability training programs for government officials and staff. * Coordinate with relevant WOG agencies and internal stakeholders to identify training requirements and ensure program relevance and impact. * Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for training initiatives. * Foster partnerships and collaboration with external experts, educational institutions, and industry bodies to enhance training content and delivery. * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and contribute to continuous improvement. * Provide expert guidance and support to the SSMART Office and broader MSE on sustainability training matters. **Requirements** * A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, sustainability, public policy, project management, or a related discipline. * Significant experience (minimum 8-10 years) in designing, developing, and delivering training programs, preferably within the public sector or a large organization. * Proven track record in leading complex training projects from conception through to successful implementation. * Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and stakeholder engagement. * Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences. * A deep understanding of sustainability principles, government operations, and public sector training needs is highly desirable. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong cross-agency relationships.
