We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join our team in Indonesia, providing critical leadership and expertise in health, safety, and environmental management within the dynamic mixed development sector.
About the Role
The HSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management systems across assigned projects and sites in Indonesia. This role involves ensuring all operations comply with relevant local regulations and international best practices, fostering a strong safety culture, and proactively managing risks to protect people, assets, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and programs tailored to mixed development projects.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Lead incident investigation processes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.
- Provide expert guidance and training to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors on HSE matters.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and local authorities to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, report on performance metrics, and ensure timely submission of regulatory documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a similar HSE Manager role within the construction, infrastructure, or mixed development sector.
- Deep understanding of Indonesian OHS regulations, environmental laws, and relevant international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey HSE requirements and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent).
