This includes planning and executing maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, and ensuring all engineering systems comply with international maritime regulations and company standards. You will collaborate closely with vessel captains, marine superintendents, and shore-based technical teams to optimize vessel performance and minimize downtime. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for assigned vessels. - Conduct regular inspections and audits of engineering machinery and systems. - Oversee repairs, upgrades, and modifications to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. - Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for assigned fleet. - Provide technical guidance and training to vessel crews on engineering operations. - Prepare and review technical reports on vessel condition and performance. **Requirements** - Minimum Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related technical field. - Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marine engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or fleet management role. - Valid and current Chief Engineer or Second Engineer license as per relevant maritime regulations. - Proven experience managing maintenance budgets and resources effectively. - Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, auxiliary systems, and relevant safety protocols (SOLAS, ISM, etc.). - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. - Strong communication and leadership skills.
