Description

At the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), the Community Relations and Engagement Division houses the Community Strategies and Insights (CSI) team. This team plays a critical and central role in Singapore's national efforts to foster and strengthen social cohesion across the diverse population. The CSI team brings together a multi-racial and multi-cultural perspective to understand community dynamics and inform strategic initiatives.

About the Role

The Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager/Senior Executive (Community Strategies) will be a key member of the CSI team. This position involves developing and implementing strategic approaches to enhance community engagement and social cohesion. The role requires translating complex community insights into actionable strategies and fostering collaboration across various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for community engagement and social cohesion initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand community needs, trends, and challenges.
  • Design and implement programs and interventions aimed at building stronger community bonds.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., community organizations, government agencies) to align efforts and resources.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and frameworks supporting community development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in community development, social cohesion, or a related field.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills to develop effective community strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of Singapore's diverse communities and social landscape.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
