Geomatic Specialist

PT Exsamap Asia is seeking a qualified Geomatic Specialist to join our team based in Bangka-Belitung. This role involves applying advanced geospatial technologies and techniques to support our mapping, surveying, and spatial analysis projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in geomatics principles and practical experience with relevant software and equipment.

About the Role

The Geomatic Specialist will be responsible for the collection, processing, analysis, and management of geospatial data. This includes utilizing tools like GPS, GIS software, and remote sensing technologies to create accurate maps, conduct surveys, and provide spatial insights to support various business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field surveys and data collection using appropriate geomatics equipment and methodologies.
• Process, analyze, and interpret geospatial data using specialized software (e.g., GIS platforms, photogrammetry tools).
• Develop and maintain accurate digital maps, 3D models, and spatial databases.
• Conduct spatial analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and best practices for geomatics work.
• Collaborate with project teams to define data requirements and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in geomatics, surveying, or a geospatial-related role.
• Proficiency with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and relevant geomatics tools (e.g., GPS, total stations).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in spatial data handling.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in field and office environments.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards for geospatial data collection and management.
