About the Role

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Housekeeping department to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping team, ensuring all rooms and public areas meet the hotel's stringent cleanliness and quality standards. This role involves direct supervision of housekeeping staff, efficient scheduling, and proactive problem-solving to maintain smooth operations and address any guest concerns promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate a team of housekeepers, ensuring efficient room cleaning and public area maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas regularly to guarantee they meet the hotel's cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linen, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering) to resolve guest requests or issues related to housekeeping.
  • Implement and enforce housekeeping policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and training of housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping or hospitality industry, preferably in a similar hotel environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the business.
  • Previous experience using housekeeping management systems is advantageous.
