Description
The World Bankseeks a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to support the development and maintenance of robust information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure within the Jakarta office. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing systems to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology environments that support the Bank's mission of reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors is essential to ensure infrastructure aligns with business needs and security standards. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement of technical processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and configure secure and efficient ICT infrastructure components.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues to maintain high availability and performance.
- Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions and hybrid environments.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for data protection.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate infrastructure solutions.
- Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and technical specifications.
- Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, network administration, or a similar role.
- Proven experience with server operating systems (Linux/Windows), network protocols, and storage systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and vulnerability management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
