Assistant Restaurant Manager- Courtyard by Marriott Manado The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel's dining facilities, including restaurants, bars, and potentially room service. This position involves providing direct support to the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness, and contributing to the overall guest experience. About the Role

You will be responsible for assisting in the daily supervision and management of restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards. This includes supporting menu planning, inventory management, staff scheduling, and training. You will also be involved in resolving guest inquiries and complaints, fostering a positive team environment, and identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance profitability and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily supervision and management of restaurant operations, including restaurants, bars, and room service (if applicable).
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in maintaining high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
  • Contribute to menu planning, development, and execution, ensuring offerings align with guest preferences and operational goals.
  • Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and cost control to ensure profitability.
  • Help in staff scheduling, training, development, and performance management.
  • Resolve guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and implement improvements to enhance service and profitability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within the Food and Beverage or hospitality industry, preferably within a hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic food costing principles.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant hospitality management training or degree preferred.
