About the Role

The Tax Accountant (Global) will be responsible for managing the tax compliance and reporting obligations for Reboot Monkey's operations across multiple international jurisdictions. This involves staying abreast of evolving tax legislation and ensuring our practices align with local requirements. A core focus will be on implementing and maintaining rigorous internal controls to safeguard the accuracy of tax calculations and filings. The role also entails providing essential support to external auditors and collaborating closely with internal teams to address tax-related queries and optimize our global tax position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and regulations across relevant international jurisdictions.
  • Ensure accurate calculation, reporting, and filing of corporate income taxes, VAT/GST, and other applicable taxes globally.
  • Maintain and enhance internal tax control procedures to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Provide support and guidance to external auditors during tax-related audit engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal finance, legal, and operational teams to address tax implications of business activities and transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of complex tax provisions and analyses for management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Tax Accountant or similar role, with a demonstrated track record in international tax compliance.
  • Strong understanding of corporate tax principles, including income tax, VAT/GST, and transfer pricing concepts.
  • Experience monitoring and adapting to changes in tax legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software packages such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite for tax data management and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in complex tax calculations and filings.
  • Effective communication skills to explain tax matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
