Description
We areseeking a dynamic Product Assistant Manager/Manager to join the core product team driving Singapore Land Authority's (SLA) flagship digital transformation project. This pivotal role involves shaping the product strategy, defining the roadmap, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative digital solutions that enhance land administration services for Singapore. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable product plans, manage stakeholder expectations, and oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle from conception through launch and beyond.
About the Role
You will be instrumental in defining the strategic direction for key digital products within SLA's transformation initiative. This includes conducting market and competitor analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement, and prioritizing features based on user needs and business objectives. You will work alongside engineering, design, and business teams to translate requirements into detailed product specifications and manage the product backlog effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with SLA's overall goals.
- Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of the product roadmap, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term vision.
- Manage the product backlog, prioritize features and initiatives, and ensure alignment with resource constraints and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, operations) to define requirements, design user experiences, and ensure technical feasibility.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating progress and challenges effectively.
- Oversee the product launch process, including user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination and post-launch monitoring and iteration.
- Analyze product performance data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in product management, ideally within a digital transformation or government context.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex business problems into clear product solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing diverse audiences.
- Experience managing product roadmaps and backlogs using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and foster a culture of innovation.
- Understanding of digital product lifecycle management and user-centered design principles.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
