The Community Strategies andInsights (CSI) team within the Community Relations and Engagement Division of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) focuses on building strong partnerships with community organizations, public agencies, research institutions, and other key stakeholders. This role is pivotal in strengthening social initiatives and fostering collaboration across sectors to enhance community well-being and resilience.

About the Role

The Assistant Director (Community Partnerships) will lead and manage the development and execution of strategic partnerships to advance MCCY's community engagement objectives. You will work closely with diverse partners to identify opportunities, design collaborative programs, and ensure effective implementation and impact measurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, public agencies, research institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the design, planning, and implementation of collaborative initiatives and programs aimed at strengthening community capabilities and social outcomes.
  • Conduct research and provide insights to inform partnership strategies and program development.
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among partners and within the division.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership activities and their impact on community goals.
  • Represent MCCY in relevant community and stakeholder forums.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, public administration, community development, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, partnership development, program management, or a related area.
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, research, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Understanding of Singapore's community landscape and social sector dynamics.
