Supply Chain and Logistics Manager - Charcoal Production Factory

The Supply Chainand Logistics Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the charcoal production facility located in Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of materials, products, and information throughout the supply chain, directly supporting the company's commitment to quality and operational excellence in the charcoal briquette manufacturing sector. About the Role

This key management position is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and management of the supply chain and logistics functions for the charcoal production operation. The manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and control of the flow of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, ensuring timely production and delivery while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies and logistics plans aligned with production schedules and business objectives.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and prevent production disruptions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality raw materials required for charcoal production.
• Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials and products, ensuring proper inventory tracking and security.
• Optimize transportation routes and modes for raw material delivery and finished product distribution to meet customer demands efficiently.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain efficiency, delivery times, and inventory turnover.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales teams to resolve logistics bottlenecks and improve overall operational flow.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations within the logistics and supply chain processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in supply chain management or logistics management, preferably within a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on production logistics.
• Deep understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse operations, and transportation logistics.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and procurement processes for raw materials.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use logistics software and data analysis tools to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of Indonesian business practices and logistics infrastructure is advantageous.
