IT Audit Specialist

Sinar Masis seeking an experienced IT Audit Specialist to join its internal audit function and work closely with the Head of IT Audit. In this position you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s IT risk management framework and ensuring that technology initiatives align with strategic objectives. You will be part of a forward‑looking audit team that leverages emerging technologies to assess risk and drive value across the business.

About the Role

The role involves supporting the design and execution of IT audit programmes, with a focus on annual risk assessments, audit planning, and the consolidation of findings across business units. You will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with IT, security, and operations teams to evaluate controls, assess compliance, and recommend improvements. The position also includes mentoring junior auditors and contributing to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies, ensuring that insights are integrated into broader governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the annual IT audit risk assessment and corresponding audit plan.
• Plan and execute IT audit engagements covering infrastructure, applications, and data governance.
• Perform testing of IT controls and assess their operating effectiveness.
• Document audit results, prepare clear reports, and present insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to remediate identified weaknesses and reinforce risk controls.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of audit procedures and findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or equivalent are a plus.
• At least 3‑5 years of experience in IT audit, risk management, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of audit standards, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements relevant to IT.
• Proficiency in audit tools and techniques, including data analytics and control testing.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
