Description

The KREASI ProvincialCoordinator: Child Protection position is based in Morotai and Nias, Indonesia, and is a key role within Save the Children's Programme Operations team. This role focuses on leading and coordinating child protection initiatives across the KREASI program in these provinces, ensuring the effective implementation of activities designed to safeguard children's rights and well-being.

About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership and operational management for the child protection component of the KREASI program. This involves overseeing program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure quality, impact, and adherence to child protection standards and principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, planning, and execution of child protection activities within the KREASI framework in Morotai and Nias.
  • Manage program resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of funds and timely delivery of activities.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local authorities, community leaders, NGOs, and other stakeholders to strengthen child protection systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and capacity building to local staff and partners on child protection best practices and child safeguarding.
  • Monitor and evaluate program progress against objectives, collecting data and reporting on outcomes and impact.
  • Ensure compliance with Save the Children's child protection policies, procedures, and legal requirements in Indonesia.
  • Contribute to the development of new program proposals and the adaptation of existing ones based on learning and context.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in child protection program management, preferably within an international NGO or similar organization.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing child protection programs in diverse cultural contexts.
  • Strong understanding of child rights, child protection principles, and international child safeguarding standards.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and build strong relationships with local partners and communities.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is essential.
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and reporting is highly desirable.
