Executive, Air Freight SCM

DHL seeks a dynamic and experienced Executive, Air Freight Supply Chain Management to join our team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of air freight shipments, directly supporting our global logistics network. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily execution of cargo planning and coordination with carrier partners to secure optimal capacity and pricing solutions. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams to ensure all freight operations align precisely with booked flight schedules and customer requirements.

About the Role

This position offers a challenging opportunity to contribute significantly to the smooth operation of DHL's air freight supply chain within the Subang Jaya hub. You will play a key role in managing the planning and execution processes that underpin our air freight services, ensuring reliability and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily cargo planning activities for air freight shipments, ensuring accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
• Engage proactively with carrier partners to negotiate and secure capacity and cost-effective solutions for scheduled air freight movements.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, sales, customer service) to ensure freight planning aligns with booked flight schedules and customer commitments.
• Monitor and manage air freight operations to meet service level agreements and optimize overall supply chain performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of air freight planning processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in air freight operations, logistics, or supply chain management, ideally within a fast-paced international environment.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to make informed planning and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant educational background in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
