About the Role
This position involves comprehensive oversight of the daily functioning of the Housekeeping department, including the management of guest room cleaning and maintenance schedules. Additionally, the role encompasses supervision of the Recreation/Health Club facilities and operations, ensuring they meet guest expectations and safety standards. If applicable, the Laundry department falls under this management scope, requiring coordination of its daily activities and staff. The manager is accountable for implementing and enforcing established housekeeping policies, procedures, and quality standards across all assigned areas.Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise all daily shift operations for Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry (as applicable).
- Lead, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, recreation/club staff, and laundry personnel to ensure high performance and adherence to service standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for housekeeping supplies, laundry products, and recreational equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and recreational facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with property standards.
- Collaborate with other department heads to coordinate schedules, resources, and service delivery for a seamless guest experience.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to housekeeping, recreation, or laundry services promptly and professionally.
- Implement and maintain efficient operational procedures to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Ensure all staff are trained on safety protocols and emergency procedures relevant to their areas.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within housekeeping, hotel operations, or a similar service environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service quality.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, guests, and other departments.
- Knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry processes, and recreational facility management is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
