About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging instruction in IGCSE and A Level Chemistry. This involves developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum aligned with international standards, creating dynamic lesson plans, and employing diverse teaching methodologies to cater to varied learning styles. The teacher will be expected to inspire curiosity, facilitate deep understanding of complex chemical concepts, and foster a supportive and intellectually stimulating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver effective IGCSE and A Level Chemistry lessons and schemes of work.
• Develop and administer appropriate formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and understanding.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote active learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments in accordance with school policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the Chemistry department.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and development.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
• Proven teaching experience, ideally within the IGCSE and/or A Level curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive and motivating learning environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice.
• Knowledge of relevant educational technology and its application in the classroom.
