About the Role

The Vice President, Regional Lead - Financial Institutions Utility, Middle Office, Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia (GCBDA) will spearhead the FIU Middle Office function, ensuring seamless operational support for MUFG's corporate banking clients across the region. This position is central to maintaining the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of core banking services, directly impacting client satisfaction and the bank's operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the regional FIU Middle Office team, setting strategic direction and operational priorities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of critical middle office services, including trade processing, settlement, and risk management support.
  • Ensure robust compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies across Asia.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within the FIU Middle Office framework.
  • Collaborate closely with business units, technology teams, and regional stakeholders to align operations with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for regional operations.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (minimum 10-15 years) in middle office operations, banking, or a related financial services function, with a proven track record in leading teams.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, securities processing, and regulatory requirements relevant to Asia.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage complex operations and drive change in a global environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or equivalent) are advantageous.
