Fabric Development

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in fabric science and a passion for innovative textile solutions. **About the Role** The Fabric Development position involves creating and improving fabric designs and specifications. You will collaborate closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure fabrics meet technical requirements and market demands. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving to develop high-quality textile products efficiently. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop new fabric concepts and specifications based on design briefs and technical requirements. * Conduct fabric testing and analysis to ensure quality, durability, and performance standards. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, production, sourcing) to translate concepts into viable fabric solutions. * Manage fabric development projects from initial concept through to production readiness. * Stay informed about industry trends, new materials, and technological advancements in fabric development. * Prepare detailed fabric specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Science, Fashion Design, or a related field. * Minimum of [X] years of experience in fabric development, textile manufacturing, or a similar role. * Proven experience in developing and testing various types of fabrics (e.g., woven, knit, non-woven). * Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes, yarn properties, and fabric construction. * Proficiency in using relevant software for design and specification management. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
